Sanjeev Asthana is a recognized leader in food and agriculture with over 25years of experience in India and International market. He was Ex-President & Chief Executive, Reliance Retail and was also associated as Director for Cargill India; Country Head for ITC Global Holdings in Indonesia and Romania; Head, Food & Agribusiness for Britannia Industries. He is currently the Director on the Board of NCDEX Spot Exchange Limited. He is the Chairman of the CII National Task Force on Food Security and Agriculture Skill Council of India and a former co-Chairman of the ASSOCHAM Committee on Agriculture.

With a MBA in International Trade from IIFT, New Delhi, Sami has a career spanning over 28 years with leading corporates (Olam International, Reliance Retail, etc) in India & abroad.He has in-depth knowledge of all aspects of International Trade in Foods &Agro commodities. He is widely travelled & operated in several countries of Asia, Africa & Middle East with specific stints in Nigeria, Uganda, Mozambique & Dubai. He has lived and worked in Africa for over 14 years and is passionate about contributing to Agri development in the African continent.
